| We have added an exciting new
piece of equipment to our growing list of high tech instruments, the
diagnodent (die ag no dent) laser.
This is a small pen-like device that uses a laser to fluoresce your
teeth. The device then measures how much light bounces off of the
tooth. When there are bacteria in the tooth (decay), a soft alarm
is heard.
This allows us to detect new decay when it is very small and provide
our patients with the least invasive and earliest and most cost
effective treatment.
