| Did you ever ask yourself what
happens to all those old fillings that are removed from teeth each year?
Every time an old, silver-mercury amalgam filling goes bad, it needs to be
removed. The dentist uses a drill to remove the metal from your
tooth, the assistant sucks out the debris, and then what? The
old silver-mercury is pulled into the suction system, flushed with water,
and dumped into sewer lines.
The sewer lines lead to processing plants, where the mercury is removed
from the wastewater and becomes part of the toxic sludge produced.
The ADA and EPA working together wanted to find a solution to this
problem and came up with a simple product called an amalgam seperator, which
removes 99.99% of all mercury from discharged wastewater.
Oleske Family Dental is proud to announce that we have installed one of
these amalgam separators and continue our commitment to not just your
health, but the health of the entire community. |
